Dev Log 2 from Natasha


This past week the team and I needed to start working on a digital prototype of our game. I was able to create the background of the game, the main character in its kitten form and a trash can to start things off. The team and I have been working on our Game Design Macro Sheet so we can input our game and all of its core mechanics.  By next week I would like to install the jumping capability to our character and figure out the coding to add the power ups. I managed to find my old coding notebook from my previous class so it has come in handy in helping us set up the draft of our game. I was able to input the code to make the character move up, down, and side to side. I still need to work out the kinks and familiarize myself with coding and designing. I let my partner test out the draft and so far he's impressed with what I got so far. He's looking forward to the next phase. I asked my playtester "what would they like to see next?" and they replied "jumping" so that'll be next on my to do list.  I did noticed that when my partner played the game, his eyes lit up in amazement because of the way i was panicking when i had to make it, he thought i would have given up... but i didn't :)
