Kyle's 3rd Devlog

Hey guys so for this week my team and I have been trying to make the cat move and at least jump, but we have kind of had a bit of a tough time working on making the player move with the coding. So from there my team and I would look up videos to see how we can code our character to make it move but after a while, we found a video and it worked a little bit by making the character move at first but still not quite hiw we wanted it. It was making the character move so slow and not fast enough at all so from there we did not go further ahead with that option. Meanwhile my team and i found a solution by finding a website called gdevelop that our professor introduced us to and we took a good look at it to see what it's like and how it would be beneficial for our game and in overall to make the cat move. So as my team and I started to learn more about gdevelop, we actually came to a better understanding of how the cat would be able to move around in our game and from there my team and I would practice a lot on how to use it and ever since then we have became so much better. So for this week my team and I are trying to make our character move and make it jump and walk/run and then from there start to add the core mechanics in our game such as the power ups and the player's stamina and rewards that the cat will accomplish. Most importantly, for next week we plan to make the cat move and jump and then eventually add more levels where the cat gets to jump 2x times higher and collects a lot of power ups to gain more player abilities and most of all make the cat grow and become into an adult cat. Also we will work on adding enemies in the game that the cat will have to fight through to get to the end and add the game assets as well such as the timer, the time of day, game objects, the power ups clock, etc...
