Dev Log 5 from Nat

Hey everyone. So, this has definitely been a rough week for the team and me. Last week we didn't have one of our teammates due to being ill and I had to leave early due to situations outside of class. So not much progress has been made unfortunately and it sucks. Communication has been a huge roadblock during this process and it's frustrating when the only time you can truly work on the game is during class hours. I try to do my best outside of class, but I don't want to feel as if I'm the only one contributing. I try to split the jobs evenly and make sure my teammates have an even amount of work to do outside of class but it's hard when you're not given feedback or asked questions until the last minute. I try to sympathize because everyone has a life outside of school and that can sometimes get in the way of classwork. But, with the Alpha part of our game due today, I'm trying not to lose hope.  I was able to have a meeting last night with my team and expressed to them the importance of deadlines and gave them a quick and thorough run through of how to set up a level in GDevelop. I'm hoping that it helped because I know learning a new program is intimidating. I guess this is a part of the game developing process when you're in a team. It can be hard to work with others who might not be on the same page but I'm certain if we all put our best foot forward then we can truly come out with a fun game. Maybe my teammates don't have the same passion as I do, but I want to change that. I want them to get excited like I am because as tedious as this process has been, when you see the outcome, it truly puts into perspective that we truly are game developers! Let's see how class turns out today. I'll keep a positive mindset like I've been doing from the start and just take it one day at a time. Hopefully in the next log there will be a jump in our progress. *Fingers crossed* wish us luck!
