Kyle's 4th Devlog


Hey guys hope all is well. So this week has been pretty good and a lot more challenging at the same time because my team and I had to use different sites to use for our game. So as we were progressing through our game, my team and I started to use gdevelop, which is a website that you can use to make and create games. Furthermore, as we started using gdevelop my team and I have progressed more better at making our game Bad Kitty more playable and this past week we we're just working on the assets and obstacles and levels that our game is going to have. For example, I myself was working on the enemies by creating and designing them so my teammates can put them into the game map world and I also made the enemies on attack mode so when the player in the game which is you, gets closer to the enemies the enemies will begin to attack you and try to kill you. Then my teammate has made a level in the game by making the cat jump 2x times higher and move inside the game world and to fight/kill the enemies, and from there my other teammate made a level by making the power ups that the cat has to collect and putting a few enemies that I had created already in the game world so the cat can kill them by jumping on top of them. Furthermore, my team and I are still working on finishing the game by making the levels and missions that the cat has to fight through and we also are trying to add a time clock on the time of the day because the cat fights through obstacles from 9:00am-2:00pm, and then we are going to add a health bar so every time when the cat collects fishies or power ups, the cat's health bar becomes more stronger and at a better place. Most importantly, my team and I are also working on adding hearts for the cat so when an enemy hits or bites the cat, the heart may drop or halfway drop, or if the cat kills an enemy or two then the cat's heart comes back. Lastly we are also working on the power ups timer, so as if the cat collects a lot of power ups throughout the game, the timer will increase to a higher number every time.
